A New Frontier

Ok let's be honest, the old game was crap. Let's start from scratch!

Here is a new idea:

A space game with a similar vibe, but which runs in the browser, controllable with any input device, with zero barriers of entry. With no user interface, no save games, not much state to save anyway.

You are an astronaut drifting alone in space and you can just go anywhere you want and do anything you want. If you want to fly around on an asteroid with a rocket engine jury-rigged on to it, you can still do that. Or just drift around in your astronaut suit and explore the places you stumble upon, with no time pressure.

No game progression in terms of levels or weapons, but through exploration of the open world, through figuring out what the buttons do when you push them.

And in contrast to some other sci-fi games, there will be no limits to your velocity (other than your fuel) and no artificial drag that slows you down over time. If you choose to use all your fuel to accelerate towards the sun and ascend to the fourth state of matter after a long time of uncontrolled floating, who am I to stop you?

Clearly I took some inspiration from the game Outer Wilds for this, which I can not recommend more! (Just play it without reading/watching anything about it)
